Professional POSH Train the Trainer (TTT) Certification program by SafeSpaces and POSHshala.

1. What is the objective of undergoing TTT for POSH Laws?

The objective is to ensure compliance with the POSH Act (Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013) while fostering an understanding of the nuances surrounding sexual harassment in the workplace.

2. What roles can I fulfill after completing the TTT program?

You can provide the two mandatory trainings required for POSH compliance in any organization with more than 10 employees:

  • Employee Sensitization
  • Internal Committee (IC) Orientation
    Additionally, you can serve as an External Member for the IC, aid in formulating Anti-Sexual Harassment Policies, assist companies in filing Annual Returns, and provide expert advisory services.

3. If I’m not a legal professional, am I eligible to conduct POSH Trainings or serve as an External Member?

Absolutely! Eligibility is not contingent upon being a legal professional. The POSH Act does not mandate that trainers or External Members must be lawyers.

4. I am not associated with any NGO. Can I serve as an External Member?

Yes. Contrary to popular belief, the Act does not require an External Member to be associated specifically with an NGO.

5. Will I receive a certificate upon completing the workshop?

Yes. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Completion Certificate issued jointly by Safe Spaces Inc. and POSHshala. Both organizations are empanelled by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India, ensuring the highest level of credibility and recognition for your certification.

6. Do the certificates have an expiration date?

No, the certificates are not issued for a specific time period and do not expire.

7. Can a male trainer pursue a career as a POSH Trainer?

Yes, anyone can pursue a career as a POSH Trainer, irrespective of gender.

8. Are companies with fewer than ten employees subject to the POSH Act?

Yes. The law is applicable to all companies regardless of size, including those with fewer than ten employees.

9. Does the Law apply to companies with only male or only female employees?

Yes, the Law applies to all companies irrespective of the gender composition of their workforce.

10. What learning materials are provided during the workshop?

Participants receive comprehensive presentation decks (PPTs) and a soft copy of the POSH handbook, along with directions to other useful resources.

11. How can I assist companies with filing Annual Returns?

The specific process and requirements for assisting companies with filing Annual Returns are explained in detail during the workshop.

12. Can I train my colleagues after receiving the certificate?

Yes. After receiving your certification from Safe Spaces and POSHshala, you are qualified to train your colleagues in a manner compliant with the POSH Act.

13. Can I continue conducting training after becoming an External Member?

Yes, you can continue to conduct training sessions even while serving as an External Member for an organization.

14. Is there a fixed fee for POSH training assignments?

No, there is no legally prescribed fee; trainers usually set their own rates based on expertise and industry standards.

15. What benefits does my organization gain if I undergo TTT as a full-time employee?

Your organization benefits by having an in-house expert who can serve on the Internal Committee, identify potential harassment cases early, ensure legal compliance, and conduct regular sensitization training for the workforce.

16. What will be the mode of the certification course?

The course is conducted virtually. The joining link will be provided by POSHshala upon successful registration.
